In a letter to the editor published in the St. Louis Call this month, a South County resident said, “It is frustrating that District 95 residents may not have representation in Jefferson City until 2027, since it increasingly appears that Governor Mike Kehoe does not intend to call a special election.”

The St. Louis Call newspaper, which covers South St. Louis County news featured Meredith Sumenek’s campaign for State Representative in a February 4th article about the ongoing vacancy in State House District 95.

On Wednesday, September 10th, Meredith Sumenek joined thousands of Missourians from across the state to protest the Missouri State Legislature’s unconstitutional redrawing of our Congressional districts.

Meredith Sumenek traveled to Jefferson City to give in-person testimony before the State House Committee on redistricting.

Finally, the Governor has made an announcement that he will call for a special election to fill the district’s seat next year.
